Bancroft Adds Mechanical Engineer

Bancroft Architects & Engineers are pleased to announce the arrival of Michael Cusack to the firm. Cusack, a licensed Professional Mechanical Engineer in ten states including his native Illinois, brings to the firm nearly 30 years of experience designing highly-efficient mechanical systems for complex structures throughout the United States. He has earned a reputation for designs that provide clients a realistic return on investment through the integration of innovative technologies into traditional systems, and is highly-regarded for his cost-benefit analysis.

“As we’ve grown, we realized we needed another all-star to augment our engineering department,” said Bancroft Principal William Hartzell. “With his comprehensive experience in designing complex HVAC, Plumbing and Fire Protection systems for life science, healthcare, educational, heavy industrial, and other clients, Mike simply checks all the boxes for us. The fact that he’s LEED AP is an added bonus. Every Bancroft employee is pursuing LEED certification, so he’s just a great fit.”

In addition to traditional mechanical design work in highly-technical settings, Cusack has noteworthy experience and expertise in the feasibility of the installation of cogeneration systems for airport applications.

“I am pleased to have the opportunity to apply so many of my past experiences with one firm,” said Cusack. “Bancroft is involved in so many projects, one more complex than the next. It’s really an ideal job for a mechanical engineer with my broad experience.” Cusack joins the team of 11 engineers and 12 architects already in place at Bancroft, and is particularly happy to come to a firm committed to giving opportunities to persons with disabilities. “It’s a passion for me, and clearly it’s a passion shared by Bancroft,” said Cusack. With disabled Veterans leading three of our five offices nationally, it’s a pleasure to be with professionals who do more than just talk the talk.”
