BANCROFT HOLDING COMPANY WELCOMES NEW IN-HOUSE GENERAL COUNSEL

April 5, 2022

Northbrook, Illinois–The Bancroft Holding Company has announced the hiring of Mr. Victor Groszko as the company’s General Counsel.  Groszko, a prior Marine Corps Reservist, has worked for several law firms and corporations over the course of his diverse career.  His practice has included corporate operations and business advisement, commercial banking, labor and employment, litigation, and acquisitions.  He is admitted to practice as an attorney in the State of Illinois and Illinois Northern Federal District Court, along with the United States Tax Court, United States Court of Appeals for the Armed Forces, and United States Court of International Trade.  A graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, Groszko is using his company benefits to pursue his master’s degree in computer science at the University of Illinois.

“This is for me a dream job with people I look forward to seeing every day,” said Groszko.  “I am proud to represent these companies doing such important work.  They have a capable legal team with extremely knowledgeable leadership, and I am glad to be able to contribute my skillset to that team. The leadership have set a high bar for all of us to achieve great things in a highly cooperative and ambitious environment and there is no lack of enthusiasm among the organization to realize great strides on a regular basis.”

Bancroft Holding Company’s Executive Vice President, Mary Bradbury, is emphatic in her praise for Groszko.  “Victor has made an immediate impact on our organization.  He’s made himself valuable from Day One.  I’ve worked with his father, Walter, for years and so I fully expected Victor to be an outstanding lawyer of impeccable character.  His legal acumen and his business experience coupled with his ability to communicate so effectively with every audience have exceeded my every expectation.  My one regret is that I didn’t hire him sooner.”

In his spare time, Groszko pursues amateur astronomy and telescope making, playing the concert violin with the Chicago Bar Association Orchestra, volunteering with the USO, working with area pro-bono legal services groups, and participating as a legacy member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
