23 Million Small Businesses in America; Bancroft Architects + Engineers Named Top 100 by U.S. Chamber of Commerce
WASHINGTON, D.C.— February 8, 2013–Bancroft Architects + Engineers was today recognized by the U. S. Chamber of Commerce as one of the top 100 small businesses in America for 2013. The Blue Ribbon Award, earned for Bancroft’s dedication to the principles of free enterprise and the company’s contributions to restoring jobs and prosperity, is one of many awards the Chicago-based, service-disabled Veteran owned small business has recently won.
“This award is absolutely humbling,” said Bancroft’s President and CEO, Paul Jenkins. “It speaks to the quality of our people, their passion for our work, and their impeccable attention to addressing our clients’ needs.”
“The recognition is especially gratifying because we were nominated by one of our international clients.”
“Bancroft’s winning the Blue Ribbon Award shows that, even facing uncertainty and economic challenges, small businesses can grow and succeed,” said Thomas J. Donohue, U.S. Chamber president and CEO. “Companies like Bancroft Architects + Engineers are America’s economic engine, driving growth and job creation all across this country.”
The awards program, sponsored by Sam’s Club®, honors those companies that best demonstrate excellent business practices in several areas including strategy, employee development, community involvement, and customer service.
“It would be impossible for me to express adequately how impressive Bancroft is as a company,” said Lane Technical President, Peter Haak. “We’re an international manufacturing company with a diverse portfolio of products made at our production facilities all over the world. We needed a design team that listens to our needs, understands our vision for the future, and the helps us marry the two.”
“From their facility and process designs that help us meet the most precise manufacturing standards around the world to their respect and discretion for our intellectual property, Bancroft is simply the best we’ve ever worked with. The highest compliment I can offer is that hiring Bancroft Architects + Engineers helped my company make money.”
In addition to the numerous regional, national, and international awards Bancroft has earned for its individual project designs, Bancroft has been named one of America’s top 100 diversity-led small businesses by Diversity.com magazine for the last three years. Among other company honors, Bancroft has also twice (2011 and 2012) earned the distinction of being named one of America’s top 500 engineering businesses, large or small.
“The Chamber celebrates Bancroft Architects + Engineers’ outstanding achievements and is proud to recognize them for the positive impact they are making in the communities where they have their regional offices.” continued Donohue. “Bancroft is a wonderful example of the American Dream at work in our nation.”
