Thinking of the first week in October as the start of a new year is usually a characteristic of those who are strict followers of the Judaic calendar. While we of course wish them the blessings of the season, the more relevant (to Bancroft) new year is the federal fiscal year which begins on October 1st. The last month of the federal fiscal year is often a frenzied time for contract officers, as they work hard to ensure all available funds for the passing year have been appropriately committed to projects that will do the most good for their stations. For Bancroft, it’s an equally hectic time, as we are (thankfully) called upon frequently to be the go-to resource for high-level design and construction period services for these key, time-sensitive contracts.
September is a frenzied month around here, with contract awards, site visits, kick-off meetings, and contract negotiations. It becomes an all-hands effort to keep up with the growing demand for Bancroft’s services in the federal space. This past year, we added clean room manufacturing and installation to our portfolio of products and services and we were grateful to have immediate interest within the Department of Defense. FY2019 has been Bancroft’s strongest yet, with even better outcomes for our clients. That has meant our already impressive client reviews have gotten better still, resulting in increased demand for our design services.
Roll on FY2020. Bancroft has added layers of talent to be ready to handle even the most demanding challenges.
