Project Description

The Ministry of Health, Mongolia, plans to build a new facility for the National Centre for Communicable Diseases (NCCD) as part of its initiative to provide a safe and efficient national lab and resource center for communicable diseases. Bancroft-AE performed schematic design and space planning for a new 6-story facility, based on programmatic guidelines outlined by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Our laboratory design team analyzed space requirements and overlaid expertise in areas of material and people flow, containment, security issues as related to the BSL-3 suite and animal vivarium. Bancroft provided 3D renderings, schematic diagrams, stacking diagrams, and preliminary elevations.
