Bancroft Architects + Engineers have added another construction professional to their project management team. D.R. Ollech joins the firm with more than 30 years of construction and project management experience across a variety of project types. The Chicago native is a U.S. Army Veteran who served in the famed 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) before earning his undergraduate and graduate degrees in Project Management. He is also a certified Project Management Professional.
“One of Bancroft’s greatest strengths as a design firm is that we have superior construction professionals who lead the architects and engineers,” said Paul Jenkins, the company’s president. “The construction professionals ensure that every design we produce for our clients is buildable—on budget and on schedule. Nobody knows how to do that better than D.R., who has been doing this for decades. Leading-edge designs are of no value to clients if they bust the budget, extend beyond the schedule, or simply can’t be built on their site. It is why D.R. is such a valuable addition.”
While Ollech has constructed and managed the construction of commercial, multi-family residential, government, and educational facilities across the United States, his primary focus has been on healthcare and scientific centers. “Integrating the complexities of life science facilities into a cohesive package for clients has always been my strength. The more moving parts, the better. I enjoy leading design and construction teams through these essential projects and get the greatest satisfaction from delivering turn-key solutions to my clients,” said Ollech.
Bancroft Architects + Engineers have designed and managed the successful and cost-effective construction of more than a million square feet of healthcare and life science facilities over the past three years. They have ongoing design and construction projects in 22 states.
